Review Process

1) The submitting author submits to Dialogue Humanities Review via email.

2) The Editor-in-Chief receives the submission and forwards it to a student editor.

3) The student editor reads the submission, writes commentary on the piece and recommends either to accept it or reject it.

4) A second student editor goes through the same process.

5) The paper is sent to an expert in the field. This expert may be a Davidson Academy teacher, a university professor or another some other knowledgeable individual, depending on the topic of the essay. The expert will write commentary and recommend that the piece be either accepted or rejected.

6) After reviewing all commentary on the submission, the Editor-in-Chief decides whether or not to accept the piece and alerts the author via email. Frequently, acceptance will be provisional, pending upon various revisions.
